The Region intends to consolidate its economic performance and support high valueadded initiatives. It strives to strengthen the essential links between research, higher education and businesses of all sizes and in all sectors.




Champagne-Ardenne's regional research and innovation agency (Carinna) is an important tool for bringing together a large number of the region's public and private-sector research and innovation stakeholders.

MATERALIA: The innovative materials competitive cluster

Materalia, the innovative materials competitive cluster, is the leader in collaborative innovation in materials and processes. It brings together 130 industrial companies and research centres from the Champagne-Ardenne and Lorraine regions to work on the challenges of the materials of the future (nanomaterials, composites, sustainable development, etc.). Materalia focuses its research on the energy, aeronautics, automotive and medical sectors. Its initiatives will be supported by the technological research institute for Materials, Metallurgy and Processes (IRT M2P), which the Materalia cluster is building in conjunction with other clusters in the East of France.
